A DBSL Signature Itinerary
The Grand Meridian
Switzerland · Spain · Morocco · UAE
Twenty-one nights moving from the Swiss Alps through Madrid and Morocco before finishing on the UAE coastline.
The Grand Meridian begins with a helicopter arrival into Zermatt and one of Switzerland’s most recognised rail crossings, before moving south through Madrid, Marrakech, the Mediterranean coast of Morocco and Casablanca.
From there, the pace changes again with four nights in Dubai and a final five nights in Abu Dhabi.
Across the itinerary, the way you move is considered as carefully as where you stay, with private aviation, rail, drivers and time left open all forming part of the plan.
The itinerary can be adapted to your dates, pace and preferences, with each element reconsidered to suit the way you want to travel.
Your Exclusive Itinerary
Switzerland | CERVO Mountain Resort & GRACE LA MARGNA ST MORITZ– 3 nights
Arrive into Geneva before continuing by private helicopter through the Swiss Alps to Zermatt.
The first night is spent at CERVO Mountain Resort, with the Matterhorn and surrounding mountains setting the tone for the itinerary from the outset.
The following morning, board the Glacier Express in Excellence Class for the full crossing from Zermatt to St Moritz. Panoramic windows, dedicated concierge service and dining on board allow the day itself to become part of the itinerary rather than simply a transfer between hotels.
Two nights at GRACE LA MARGNA ST MORITZ follow, with time to explore St Moritz and the surrounding Engadin region privately before continuing south.
Madrid | Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid – 2 nights
From St Moritz, transfer privately to Zurich for the flight to Madrid and two nights at Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid.
The stay is deliberately light on structure, leaving room for the city to be approached around your own interests, whether that means dining, art, shopping or simply having time without a fixed programme.
After the movement of Switzerland, Madrid creates a natural pause before Morocco.
Marrakech | Royal Mansour Marrakech – 3 nights
Continue to Marrakech for three nights at Royal Mansour Marrakech, where accommodation takes the form of individual private riads rather than traditional hotel rooms.
Time in the city can include privately guided visits through the Medina, Le Jardin Secret, Dar El Bacha and Ben Youssef Medersa, alongside the Majorelle Garden and Yves Saint Laurent Museum.
Dining is arranged around the stay, while enough time remains to return to the riad, the gardens and the hotel itself without filling every part of the day.
Tamuda Bay | Royal Mansour Tamuda Bay – 3 nights
Leave Marrakech by private charter for Tetouan and continue to Morocco’s Mediterranean coastline for three nights at Royal Mansour Tamuda Bay.
The change in setting is significant. Marrakech gives way to the sea, with time at the resort balanced by a private day in Chefchaouen.
One full day is intentionally left open, allowing the stay to slow down before moving again.
Casablanca | Royal Mansour Casablanca – 1 night
Continue by private charter from Tetouan to Casablanca for one night at Royal Mansour Casablanca.
It is the third Royal Mansour property within The Grand Meridian, but a very different expression of the brand, shifting from Marrakech’s private riads and Tamuda Bay’s coastal setting into the centre of Casablanca.
The overnight stay also creates a considered transition between Morocco and the UAE rather than treating the international flight as an interruption to the itinerary.
Dubai | Mandarin Oriental Jumeira Dubai & The Ritz-Carlton Dubai – 4 nights
Arrive into Dubai for four nights divided between two beachfront addresses.
Begin with two nights at Mandarin Oriental Jumeira Dubai, with the beach, dining and the city all within reach.
The itinerary then moves to The Ritz-Carlton Dubai for a further two nights, keeping the schedule deliberately open so dining, shopping, wellness or anything further Serena arranges can be built around how you want to spend the time.
The change of hotel gives the Dubai chapter two different settings without adding another destination.
Abu Dhabi | Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel & Villas – 5 nights
Finish with five nights at Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel & Villas.
After the pace and movement of the earlier itinerary, Abu Dhabi is designed to give the final days room to settle.
The beach, resort and time entirely at leisure can take priority, with further dining, experiences or private arrangements added only where they genuinely contribute to the stay.
The Grand Meridian, made your own
This is a starting point, not a fixed package.
Dates can move. Nights can be extended or reduced. Hotels, room categories, aviation, private charters, rail, dining, guiding and experiences can all be reconsidered around your preferences.
The route itself can also change, whether you want more time in Switzerland, a longer stay in Morocco or a different ending through the UAE.
Serena will rebuild each element around your timing, priorities and preferred pace.
